Our recent work on Back to the Future the Musical was an achievement in design realisation, overseas collaboration and touring efficiency. From Hill Valley's 1950's high school charm to Doc Brown’s eccentric lab, every set piece was crafted to evoke the nostalgia of the original movie whilst meeting the rigorous demands of a national tour.

Designed by Drama Desk, Olivier and Tony Award winning designer Tim Hatley, we brought his drawings to life.
- Lou’s Café Diner — retro signage, neon lights, and chrome finishes.
- McFly House & Kitchen — domestic realism with modular cabinetry and vintage textures and patterns.
- Lorraine’s Bedroom — Pink curtains, trim, wallpaper and set dressing. A young girls dream.
- Marty McFly and the Pinheads Hanger — an eye-catching heart shaped centrepiece that ends the show with the ever-popular rendition of The Power of Love.
- Under the Sea Dance Décor — clever collapsible rigging and quick-change capabilities.
- Clock Tower — featuring hand-carved twin panthers and a moving, ticking clock face.
- Doc’s Lab & Flux Capacitor — eclectic and eccentric set dressing interspersed with futuristic shapes, colours and textures.
- Circuit portal — a light show of LED pixels that surround the proscenium and extend out into the auditorium.

We understand that touring productions demand more than beauty, they require engineering intelligence. Every element of this build was optimized for mobility, including lightweight construction using advanced composites and hollow-core framing. Stack-build architecture for rapid assembly and minimal footprint. Custom travel frames tailored to each scenic unit, ensuring protection and efficiency. Picture registration documents attached to every piece, streamlining the load-in and load-out process across every venue.
