We have quite the penchant for outdoor installations!
This time in our hometown of Ballarat, in celebration of the annual Begonia Festival.

In honour of the towns largest landmark, Lake Wendouree, we took inspiration from the local waterway and flora and fauna to create our own luminescent garden.

Visitors were encouraged to stroll across the 14m long hovering jetty that featured pressure sensor panels, glowing as you walked on them.

Over-sized lilies and giant begonias illuminated the ground cover whilst an enormous 6m tall swan sculpture pulsed rainbow colours to a swan song soundscape.

Under the Cedar tree lived a veggie patch complete with glowing produce and insect friends.

A "water fountain" sprayed arched jets of light into the air and around the town's statue of Ruth, the religious reference to harvest and motherhood, a fitting nod to the permanent artwork of Sturt St.

This project was a true testament to the internal teamwork at FORM Imagination. The swan was drawn and modelled in the studio before moving into the steel department where the internal skeleton was shaped and welded together.
Swannie was then wrapped in canvas and painted by our scenic painters.
The second to last step was having our electrics team install the lights and speakers that would bring our friend to life.
Installing Swannie in his new home was the last step in his journey. We planned and executed the logistics of trucking, positioning and powering the sculpture for his week-long tenure in the garden.
